Your eyes aren’t deceiving you — that’s a POWERFUL Lexus SC 300 2JZ. And, yes, put the “T” in the “GE” and you’ll most likely smoke that Ferarri, too

This car is gorgeous, it’s rare, it drives fantastic and it's — a finely preserved mid-engine exotic 2JZ Lexus SC300 that is UNMATCHED. But don't just look there --- LOOK UNDER THE HOOD if you truly want to be impressed. Yes, this Lexus SC 300 has the powerful Toyota Supra 2JZ motor and drivetrain and we all know what that means: the 2JZ Toyota Supra motor is not a toy — it’s extremely rare and powerful. As for the car itself — well, the pictures say it all. But what you can’t see just from the pictures is how fast and furious it is with it’s 2JZ legendary motor. It’s luxurious (see specs below. . . too many lux features to list), cool, and because it has the same the legendary 2JZ Supra motor and drive train as the Toyota Supra (Supra GE, folks, not Supra GTE) it’s still just plain BADA__ . You have to come drive it to get the full experience. And the condition? Incredible (see what GoMo “Mechanic says” below). But, there also might be a reason for this SC’s clean condition: From 1995 to 2012 this Lexus resided in West Palm Beach, Florida (sold by Lexus of Pembroke Pines, 16150 Pines Blvd., Pembroke Pines, FL (954) 520-7747).

This is a beautiful Lexus SC 300 — and with it’s 2JZ motor — it’s a rocket, too. But it gets better. This Lexus only has 94,500 miles on it. This Lexus looks and drives phenomenal. It’s impressive. Come see it.

But when we he came out of his 2JZ trans (slapped his cheeks side to side and he came to a bit) "mechanic says":

With respect to the head and block construction — These engines are all constructed using cast iron cylinder block. Both engines also have cylinder heads constructed of aluminum. The engines overall are quite similar in construction, although the GTE (not this one…but could be with tuner mod) has recessed piston tops and redesigned ports and valves - this is not that. . . but for those 2JZ-obsessed tuners: we could make it this IF YOU DARE and for reasonable cost or you could take it the way it is and save for later such a daring yet practical feat to make this even more POWERFUL THAN IT ALREADY IS. Either way. . . buying this means you score a LEGEND it in its own right 2JZ Lexus with super low miles with a high condition report. We like it just the way it is.

The 2JZ engine family uses duel overhead cam valvetrain, with 2 intake and 2 exhaust valves per cylinder, for a total of 24 valves and so:

Aside from Doug’s “it’ll drift” mantra. . . here’s the rest:

3 Liter in line six engine

Rear wheel drive (like only pure sports cars should be!)

2JZ-GE: 212-227 horsepower + 220 lb-ft of torque

If you want you can build this engine to 1000 HP — but we like it the way it is. . .

This is a bone stock 2JZ Supra Motor — Not Turbo Charged (GTE) but it could be and we all know what that means. . .

Here at Go Motors we always like to get into the nitty gritty because we love our fine classics so much:

Nomenclature of the legendary 2JZ engines: “JZ” is just the engine family (and WHOOOA WHAT A FAMILY IT IS!), “G” stands for performance-oriented dual overhead cam setup, “T” stands for turbocharged and “E” means its electronically fuel injected. Ours’ here is a 2JZ —it’s an iron-block 500 lb monster, 3.0-liter overbuilt powerhouse from Japan. Since it’s production. . .there has relatively little since of it’s caliber — AT LEAST none without the excessive cost — ALL OF WHICH LACK the aftermarket support. So why not this one? It’s a perfect and clean canvas for a tuner build. Our "mechanic says": put that “T” in the “GE” yourself and the sky’s the limit. Developed when Japan’s auto industry (reference our www.GoMotorsUSA.com Toyota 3rd generation 4Runner / Land Cruiser Manifesto) was unmatched and brimming over in cash -the 2JZ was a high-point for big, tough, iron-block straight sixes in passenger cars in that market. Again, this era is now bygone and has never been matched since. . . . . at least since we posted this! And “mechanic says” with the new 2020 Toyota Supra coming out with a sticker price of over $49990 — this’ll be awful fun to strut around in and most likely just get more valuable.

The 3.0-liter 2JZ-GE is a stroked version of the 1JZ-GE — these engines are a great starting point for mod / builds providing you have a clean canvas and aren’t distracted with other not-so-important stuff. . . which, with ours’, you won’t be — it’s beautiful save for less than average minor wear and tear consistent with it’s age but we’d give this SC a very high condition report. It spent much of it’s time in West Palm Beach Florida and that might account for it’s apparent cared-for and it’s "spare no expense" condition which is evident just from looking at and driving it. Truly, you’ll fall in love — hard not to.

We love that motor: not your average heads — aluminum cylinder heads with unique intake and exhaust manifolds, higher-flowing injectors, pistons offering lower compression ratios. Unlike it’s competitors this 2JZ can handle the boost — add the T to the GE and the sky’s the limit. Don’t buy it if you can’t handle the power.

If that lower displacement of this 2JZ disappoints. . . and you want to increase your power potential overall we can help with that at reasonable cost and put the “T” into your 2JZ — ask our mechanic for details.

Between the power and torque and, god-willing, a clean canvas just like this to start out with — Lexus SC300’s and it’s counterpart Supras 2JZ’s like this one have instantly became tuner rock stars — they are the holy grail of starting points for reasonable, more accessible and fun builds. And if you don’t want to do that — they are awesome to just own and drive.

Also, we are quite flexible and can show when convenient for most buyers (e.g., early morning or evenings Monday through Sunday) — just please give us advance notice. We show vehicles on a first come first serve basis and our appts. fill up fast so be sure to make your Appt. soon if you have strong interest in any of our vehicles.

We encourage all buyers to please check our website inventory before coming to check if anything of interest has not sold— we update our website regularly. For customers coming from out of state we hold vehicles of interest for those customers provided they have a confirmed appt.
